One Church News April 2014

One Church Perth, Merriwa WA

G’Day One Church

Consecration, Identity, Authority, Fire.
During our extraordinary month of March, there were four key themes that emerged, and that we addressed over the four friday’s we were together, praying. I’d like to remind you of these themes, and call you back to considering how you will walk in them, today.
Consecration - How can you surrender yourself to God’s will today? How can you allow God to change you into being more like Jesus, today?
Identity - Do you know that you are accepted into God’s Family? Do you know that you are His child, and that He is immensely proud of you today? Have you experienced your Heavenly’ father’s love yet, today?
Authority - Do you know that you have all of Heaven’s authority over the devil, available to you, today? Do you know that just one word from God, can bring change to any situation you may be facing? Do you know, that when you are on the Father’s business, that He watches over you, careful to ensure that His will is performed through you? Have you called on your Heavenly Father’s authority for your circumstances today?
Fire - Do you know that the natural state for the People of God is to be on fire for Jesus? Do you know that you are the light of the world? Do you know that you are as distinct in your world, as salt is to flavour? Do you know that the Holy Spirit Fire of God (Dunamis) is living within you? Have you let Him out yet, today?
God bless you One Church! You are an amazing church, the best church in Australia, as far as I’m concerned.
Ps Paul Botha

On Thurs 17th April we will be celebrating a passover meal together at the church from 6pm.  The cost of the meal will be $20 per family and $5 per individual.   We will need to know numbers in order to prepare for this so  we will be passing around a sign up sheet during the service this Sunday.

On Easter Sunday morning come along at 9am and enjoy tea/coffee and hot-cross buns before service.  After service we encourage everyone to stay and join us for a picnic lunch with cricket and volleyball.  For those who don’t want to bring a picnic lunch there is potjiekos (a south african stew). There are only a few places left to book a potjiekos lunch for Sunday. The list will be available during the morning service. Tickets for this is $5 per adult and $3 per child. Once payment has been received you will receive a ticket. Bring that ticket on Sunday in order to receive your food.
This Saturday Hope WA is meeting at St Mary’s Anglican (North Perth) from 6:00-10:00 PM.   Speak to Ps Candace for more information.

The sessions run from 7-9pm on the Friday and 9am – 3pm on the Sat.  The aim of Divine Connection is to answer any questions you may have and to outline the vision and core beliefs of One Church.  It is the first major step to becoming a vital part of the One Church Family. If you would like to attend please give your name to Debbie at the office on 9304 4600 or and more information will be sent to you.

One Church News- 13th March 2014

Hello CHURCH Family

Thank You For Stopping Everything to Be With God!
Wasn’t last Friday something special? It was a great encouragement to see so many of our church family coming together to pray for God to move.
May I remind you of our commitment to stop everything and be with God, and of how we are giving God just 8 hours of our lives in March, for 2 hours each Friday Evening. Please maintain the momentum by being there this Friday, and let’s keep pursuing God for more of Him in our lives, City and Nation.
Here’s a some good news, of what God is doing when we stop everything and be with Him:
So far, I have heard that 3 young people were saved and set free, one person filled with the Holy Spirit and one person was healed during our prayer meeting. That tells me that God was there with us too.
I believe that He is going to be with us again this Friday Night, as we come together to pray for revival across our land.
See you there!

To facilitate working with the children this Friday evening, please can parents bring the following:
  • Creche - a blanket and bottle for your children to help us settle them.
  • Flight School - a snack box and juice bottle for your children.
Thank you – looking forward to seeing you on Friday.

Please note that we now have a merchant machine available. A number of church folk have requested the availability of one so we will be trialing one for a few months to see if it is helpful.

We will have it at the sound desk on Sunday and you are welcome to use it for your tithes and offerings if you so wish.  The machine works with debit and credit cards.  We wish to make it very clear that it is NOT our intention that anyone pays their tithes or offerings on credit or money they do not have.   This is not a biblical principal and we do not support it in any way.
However, we are aware credit cards are used for convenience and the device can be used to pay for events like camps etc.

Please feel free to contact Debs at the office on 9304 4600 or if you have any queries.

If you have a prayer request or need prayer for yourself please contact Fiona (040 288 2201) to pass on to our team of intercessors.

One Church News- 5th February 2014

One Church Perth, Merriwa WAG’Day Church!
When a class of 6-7 year old students at our local primary school all state that they would rather go to Hell than to Heaven, we should know that we have a crisis on our hands.

These innocent little children have not arrived at this conclusion by themselves. No, they have been actively discipled to this conclusion by somebody. Some influential adult, has sold them this fatal lie, and without somebody else presenting a viable alternative (The Gospel and Heaven), then Hell is where they will go, for all eternity!

It is incumbent upon us, the Representatives and Ambassadors of Heaven, that we should be grief-stricken by this crisis, and mobilised into some form of action, to see these lost souls saved.

The problem though, is that the church is largely embarrassed by the topic of Hell, and has become so intimidated by the opinions of the world, that we are failing to effectively prepare anyone for the reality of eternity in Heaven or Hell, and how that affects our actions on Earth.

A revived and restored Church, living in the reality of humanity’s eternal destiny, is the single most effective method of seeing souls saved from an eternity in Hell. If you know that your loved ones, or your neighbours, or your colleagues are on the road to eternal damnation, then you will be prompted to pray and act, because you will share God’s heart for the lost.

Today, pray and ask God for an opportunity to be the revived and restored church and ask Him to use you to be His messenger of love, healing, hope or comfort, to whosoever may need it. There is no greater privilege for us as a Christian, and no more important a priority in our day.

God bless you!

Ps Paul.

Each Sunday we will be sharing stories of what a transformed community could look like, and then following it up with our ministry groups. If you didn’t go last week you are very welcome to join this coming week.
