OUR STORY

One Church Perth is a New Testament Church. We desire the new wine of the Holy Spirit in our lives, and that is why we desire to be a church that is as close to the New Testament Acts Church as we can be.

Paul & Trish Botha are the Founding Minister’s of One Church Perth kicking off on 5th May, 2005. They had a dream to see their community transformed by the power of God, and this dream continues to fuel the passion of One Church Perth.

The Church is built according to the pattern of Ephesians 4, with Jesus as the Head. and the five ministry gifts (Apostle, Prophet, Pastor, Teacher & Evangelist) which are given to build up the church family. One Church Perth has modeled this pattern for church leadership with an Apostolic Team being the foundation for building up God’s People.

OUR DREAM

ONE Church Perth – Are a Healing, Training and Sending Centre. Healing through the power of Jesus Christ. Training and equipping the People of God for their assignment. Sending Missionaries into their world.

We are a Healing Centre – The good news is that Jesus can save, rescue and restore us, completely! To a world without hope, this is a revolutionary idea. God will not only heal our bodies, but He also heals our minds and hearts. We want the whole world to encounter the healing power of God.

We are a Training Centre – One Church Perth will enable you to be built up, equipped and resourced to do the work of God. Every follower of Jesus Christ is in training for a very specific and unique assignment from God. We hold as a high priority, your spiritual growth and maturity.

We are a Sending Centre – One Church Perth sees God’s People sent out into all corners of the City, Nation and World, to do the work of the Kingdom on a daily basis. According to Jesus’ great command in Matthew 28:18-20, every one of His followers is a missionary. Whether we travel across the Globe, across the nation, across the street or across the room, we are missionaries wherever we go.

We are a House of Prayer – One Church Perth is working to see prayer and power restored to the Church in Perth. Prayer in all of its forms is the foundation for a relationship with God. God’s House, is a House of Prayer for all Nations.

We are a Family of God – We are not an organisation, nor a business, but a family. We have been divinely joined by God to one another, for the purpose of bringing out the best in one another. Family is God’s design for people to thrive in, and it’s who we are as Father’s, Mother’s, Brother’s, Sister’s, Son’s and Daughter’s, in Christ.

OUR PARTNERS

One Church Perth serves the Church of Jesus by providing Apostolic Team Oversight and Ministry, to churches within the One Church Network.

We are in partnership with churches around the Globe. Our relationships are the key for us to be effective in ministry. We are blessed to be in covering and covenant relationship with the following ministries:

One Church Perth Partner Churches

ONE CHURCH, Gordon’s Bay, South Africa

Gordon’s Bay is a community just outside of Cape Town in South Africa, it also is a region that presents many challenges.

Pastored by Ps Richaardt, One Church Gordon’s Bay is pioneering a ministry that aims to hit at the crossroads between the well-off suburbs of the picturesque cape and the desperate township refugees and immigrants to Africa’s rainbow nation.

ONE CHURCH DOOR OF HOPE, Temperance Town, South Africa

Temperance Town is a village nestled at the foot of the mountains surrounding Gordon’s Bay. It is pastored by Ps Yvonne Mangia. One Church Door of Hope Temperance Town feeds 90 children 3 meals a day, every day of the week. The lives of these children have been forever changed, and the academic performance improvements speak volumes about the effectiveness of this ministry.

OUR BELIEFS

One Church Perth’s Doctrinal Statement of Beliefs:

GOD

WE BELIEVE that the one true God exists eternally in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that these, being one God, are equal in deity, power, and glory. We believe that God not only created the world but also now upholds, sustains, governs, and providentially directs all that exists and that He will bring all things to their proper consummation in Christ Jesus to the glory of His name.
Psalm 104; Psalm 139; Matthew 10:29-31; 28:19; Acts 17:24-28; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 1:9-12; 4:4-6; Colossians 1:16-17; Hebrews 1:1-3; Revelation 1:4-6.

JESUS

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, truly God and truly man, that He was conceived and born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and offered himself as a sacrifice to redeem mankind from the power of sin, which leads to death. By the blood of His cross He obtained for us eternal redemption, the forgiveness of sins, and everlasting life. He was raised bodily on the third day and ascended to the right hand of the Father, there to make intercession for the saints.
Matthew 1:18-25; John 1:1-18; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:1-28; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 3:10-14; Ephesians 1:7; Philippians 2:6-11; Colossians 1:15-23; Hebrews 7:25; 9:13-15; 10:19; 1 Peter 2:21-25; 1 John 2:1-2.

HOLY SPIRIT

WE BELIEVE that believers are baptized in the Holy Spirit, in whom also we are sealed for the day of redemption. The Holy Spirit regenerates, forever indwells, and graciously equips the Christian for godly living and service. Subsequent to conversion the Spirit desires to fill, empower, and anoint believers for ministry and witness. We also believe that signs and wonders, as well as all the gifts of the Spirit described in the New Testament, are operative today and are designed to testify to the presence of the kingdom and to empower and edify the church to fulfill its calling and mission.
Matthew 3:11; John 1:12-13; 3:1-15; Acts 4:29-30; Romans 8:9; 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; 2 Corinthians 1:21-22; Galatians 3:1-5; Ephesians 1:13-14; 5:18.

SCRIPTURE

WE BELIEVE that only the sixty-six books of the Bible are the inspired, and therefore inerrant, Word of God. It is the final authority for all we believe and how we are to live.
Matthew 5:18; John 10:35; 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21.

HUMANITY

WE BELIEVE that humanity, whilst created in the image of God and the supreme object of God’s love, is marred by sin. Adam was created righteous and without sin but in consequence of his disobedience, every person since Adam is born subject to both imputed and inherent sin. Humanity is therefore by nature and choice the children of wrath, justly condemned in the sight of God, wholly unable to save themselves.
Genesis 1-3; Psalm 51:5; Isaiah 53:5; Romans 3:9-18; 5:12-21; Ephesians 2:1-3.

SALVATION

WE BELIEVE that salvation is by grace alone, through faith, in Christ alone. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and no ordinance, ritual, or work, on the part of man can earn salvation. Repentance towards God, a genuine turning from sin to obedience to God, and faith in Jesus are our responses to the saving work of Jesus. The saving grace of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, also sanctifies us by enabling us to do what is pleasing in God’s sight in order that we might be progressively conformed to the image of Christ.
John 1:12-13; 6:37-44; 10:25-30; Acts 3:19; 16:30-31; 20:21; 26:18; Romans 3-4; 8:1-17,31-39; 10:8-10; Ephesians 2:8-10; Philippians 2:12-13; Titus 3:3-7; 1 John 1:7,9.

ORDINANCES OF BAPTISM AND THE LORD’S SUPPER

WE BELIEVE that water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are the two ordinances of the church to be observed until the time of Christ’s return. They are not a means of salvation but are channels of God’s sanctifying grace and blessing to the faithful in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 26:26-29; 28:19; Romans 6:3-11; 1 Corinthians 11:23-34; 1 Peter 3:21.

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE

WE BELIEVE all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. We believe that the true Christian faith is expressed through the Spirit-filled life, a life of separation from sinful habits and perfecting of holiness in the fear of God. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ.
Eph 5:18; 2 Cor 6:14, 7:1, Galatians 2:20, Galatians 5:16-18

THE CHURCH

WE BELIEVE that the church is God’s primary instrument through which He is fulfilling His redemptive purposes in the earth. To equip the saints for the work of ministry, God has given the church apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. We also affirm the priesthood of all believers and the importance of every Christian being joined with and actively involved in a local community of the saints.
Matthew 16:17-19; Acts 2:17-18,42; Ephesians 3:14-21; 4:11-16; 1 Timothy 2:11-15; Hebrews 10:23-25; 1 Peter 2:4-5,9-10.

ETERNAL LIFE

WE BELIEVE that when the Christian dies he/she passes immediately into the blessed presence of Christ, there to enjoy conscious fellowship with the Saviour until the day of the resurrection and glorious transformation of the body. We also believe that when the unbeliever dies he/she is consigned to hell, there to await the day of judgment when he/she shall be punished eternally.
Matthew 25:46; Luke 16:19-31; John 5:25-29; 1 Corinthians 15:35-58; 2 Corinthians 5:1-10; Philippians 1:19-26; 3:20-21; 2 Thessalonians 1:5-10; Revelation 20:11-15; 21:1-22:15.
